Custom Code Workflow Action
A small business operating an e-commerce platform can utilize custom code to integrate with a third-party payment gateway not directly supported by the CRM, enabling seamless transaction processing and order management.
Custom Code Workflow Action: The new custom code action in the Workflow Builder empowers businesses to integrate custom JavaScript code directly into their workflows, offering unparalleled flexibility and customization options tailored to specific business needs.

⭐️ Why Does It Matter To Your Business?

  • Enhanced Flexibility: Businesses can leverage custom JavaScript code to perform unique actions and integrations within their workflows, expanding the functionality beyond built-in actions.

  • Tailored Solutions: Businesses can address specific business requirements by crafting custom code solutions, ensuring the CRM adapts seamlessly to their workflow processes.

  • Efficiency and Automation: With the ability to execute custom code directly within workflows, businesses can automate complex tasks, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency.

⭐️ How To Use Custom Code Workflow Action:

  1. Access the “Automation” tab from the left navigation menu, then click on Workflows from the upper navigation menu, click on “+Create workflow,” and select a recipe or start from scratch.

  2. In the workflow builder, click on the “+” icon and add the custom code action from the action list.

  3. The code can be written in JavaScript. This will be the default language selected.

  4. You can enter the key in the “Key” input field and assign a value to it by selecting the value through the custom value picker.

  5. You can write the code in the Code Editor Output. This should also be written in the code formatter itself.

  6. To test the code, click on the “Run Test” button.

  7. After clicking on the Run test button, if there are no errors in the code, it will show “Test Result Success,” and if there is an error in the code, the result will be “Test Result Failed,” and you would have to recheck the code to remove the error.

The introduction of custom code capabilities within the Workflow Builder empowers businesses to tailor their CRM experience to their unique business requirements, enabling advanced automation and customization.
